The program supports joint industrial R&D projects between Israeli companies and Swiss companies in all technological fields.
Expected project results will have to contribute to the development of commercial products, applications and or services. The proposals should comply with the following guidelines:
· The partners should include at least one Israeli and one Swiss commercial company and one Swiss Research Institution or University (participation of additional participants or subcontractors is welcome according to each country’s funding regulations).
· Companies from other countries may also participate, but they will not be funded either by OCS or by OPET.
· The project should have an obvious advantage and added value resulting from the cooperation between the participants from the two countries (e.g. increased knowledge base, commercial leads, access to R&D infrastructure etc.) .
· The project should demonstrate the contribution of the participants from both countries
Program Administration · The program maintains offices in both Switzerland and Israel; Swiss and Israeli entities should contact their respective offices at any time.
· MATIMOP, together with the office in Switzerland, will assist companies to find an appropriate partner. Forms are available for companies seeking assistance in locating potential partners.
Application Procedures
The submission and the approval procedures will be of two phases:
1. A short project outline via the following EUREKA project application form should be submitted by February 1 to Matimop and OPET. The outlines will be screened and evaluated by the
joint appraisal committee
.
2. Partners with approved outlines will be invited to submit their funding applications either to EUREKA or Eurostars. Since the Eurostars framework is specifically targeted to support R&D performing SME’s (
www.eurostars-eureka.eu
) approved project outlines that qualify to the Eurostars program will be recommended to submit funding applications using the Eurostars procedures towards the next Eurostars application submission deadline on Thursday 25th February 2010. Matimop and OPET will provide the submission guidelines and timetable to the project partners. For EUREKA projects, partners will be instructed how to complete submission of their funding applications.
