The Israel - Slovenia Industrial R&D Cooperation Framework is dedicated to the development of R&D collaboration between Slovene and Israeli industries.
The Israel - Slovenia Industrial R&D Cooperation Framework is dedicated to the development of R&D collaboration between Slovene and Israeli industries.
The framework implements the technological cooperation agreement signed between Israel and Slovenia ( signed July 2006 ) .
· Administrative Agencies
The framework is operated by the following governmental agencies:
Israel : MATIMOP, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) of the Ministry of Industry Trade and Labor
Slovenia : MHEST, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of Slovenia.
· Preferred technologies/sectors
The framework supports joint industrial R&D projects between Israeli and Slovene companies, focusing on developing innovative products and applications in all technological and application areas.
Program Administration
The program maintains offices in both Slovenia and Israel; Slovene and Israeli entities should contact their respective offices at any time.
The program is implemented by Eureka - A program for European cooperation in R&D and Innovation in which both Slovenia and Israel are active members.
The first call for proposals has been launched in May 2009. The call covers all technological sectors.

· MATIMOP and MHEST will assist companies to find an appropriate partner through the local EEN offices. Forms are available for companies seeking assistance in locating potential partners.
· An initial assessment of a joint project will be performed upon submission of the Project Cooperation Form. MATIMOP and MHEST can provide assistance in preparation of the Project Cooperation Form.
Application Procedures and forms
· Partner Search Form
MATIMOP and MHEST will assist companies to find an appropriate partner by the local EEN offices. Forms are available for companies seeking assistance in locating potential partners.
· Cooperation Form_
The bilateral Slovene-Israeli framework is using the Eureka/Eurostars Form as the project outline application form allowing the submitters the opportunity to apply for the Eureka/Eurostars label, that provides European visibility and access to the Eureka promotional instruments.
- Forms must be filled in English, signed by both project partners and sent to the program directors.
- The eligibility of each application will be analyzed by MHEST and MATIMOP/OCS.
Partners with approved eligibility will be invited to submit national funding applications using the procedures and according to the national rules that apply in MHEST and OCS respectively within one month.
· National Funding Application Forms (for Israeli Companies)
The full project application should be submitted by the companies on their respective countries’ national forms for review by the respective national authorities. Israeli companies should submit their applications on the OCS application forms.
