Bi-Lateral Cooperation Germany - Israel
The funding of German-Israeli industrial cooperation projects constitutes the latest pillar of German-Israeli scientific and technical cooperation.
The basis is the "Agreed Minutes of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and of the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) of the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour (MOITAL)" signed in June 2000. Both ministries agreed to fund joint industrial research and development (R&D) projects in selected fields. These projects revolve primarily around the following fields:
Biotechnology - For further information
Water and Environmental Technologies- For Further information
Security and Safety Technologies -For Further Information
The fields may vary and therefore, it is recommended to check applicability prior to submission. In other fields there are different platforms (e.g. Eureka and Eurostars).
The target groups are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular, but large companies are also eligible to submit proposals. Research institutions can be included in the project, where appropriate, according to national laws and procedures.
The projects are financed for the German applicants via the appropriate programs and support measures of the BMBF and for the Israeli enterprises through the "Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS)" funding schemes.
