Two-day Workshop

Water Treatment for Upstream Oil and Gas

November 2–3, 2014

Dan Panorama Hotel, Tel Aviv

Lecturer: Dr. John Walsh

Recent natural gas discoveries in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea have created awareness in the Israeli technological industry for the technological needs and gaps in the global O&G industry. Those gaps could potentially be addressed by technological capacities and experience the Israeli industry has

One of the clear areas where that process is already taking place is the water sector. While traditionally Israeli companies focused more on municipal and agricultural markets, in recent years there has been an increasing number of companies transferring their knowledge and solutions to the oil & gas sectors.

“The oil and gas industry can benefit from greater interaction with industrial water technology companies”

John Walsh

The workshop is delivered by Dr. John Walsh, Director of the Technical Water Team at Cetco Energy Services, a worldwide known expert with roughly 30 years of experience in industrial water treatment.

This course provides a fundamental understanding of the science and practical applications of water treatment in the upstream section of the Oil and Gas industry. The scientific aspects of water treatment are presented in a practical down to earth manner that can be understood with little prior study and can be immediately implemented in the field.
