Interventionalists perform critical treatments based on subjective analysis of the partial information that is currently obtained from angiography. With CardiOp Basic, two to three angiographic images obtained from standard angiography are converted into a comprehensive, interactive 3-D image that contains all relevant information on lumen morphology. Accurate quantitative measures are presented. Measurements are more precise than those based on 2-D, as they are based on comprehensive data that would only be available from countless 2-D views. In this way the angiography procedure is economized, bringing down both procedure cost and radiation exposure to patient and physician. CardiOp Profile, which will display the vessel in cross- section views, will provide lumenal information with a degree of precision that is currently available only with IVUS. CardiOp Guidance will enable real time accurate application of devices with reference to pathology within the vessels, based on the three- dimensional vessel reconstruction and in. This is particularly important for positioning of emerging potent devices, such as radiation catheters and drug- coated stents. CardiOp Flow will utilize three- dimensional capabilities to provide information on the flow of blood along a vessel segment. Such information represents the effect of an anatomical stenosis on physiology. PAIEON’s products provide more accurate information that existing adjuncts to angiography. Unlike other systems, information is obtained without altering the sequence of the procedure and without additional intervention.
