Development of plasma based thermal treatment technology for environmentally friendly disposal of waste materials.

Overview :
EER is dedicated to the development of plasma based thermal treatment technology for environmentally friendly disposal of waste materials. PGM technology: P - Plasma, G - Gasification - Pyrolysis, M - Melting - Vitrification. PGM’s ONE-STEP process combines complete waste elimination, energy recovery and formation of non-leaching inert residues. PGM technology is superior to incineration in most environmental aspects as well as in capital and operating costs. PGM Technology offers an economically and environmentally superior alternative to all other waste disposal methods such as landfill, incineration as well as other non-incineration thermal treatments (Gasification and Pyrolysis). The only end products of the PGM process are: SYNGAS, after cleaning, can be used in a Brighton (gas turbine/generator) and Rankine (steam turbine/generator) Combined Cycle energy recovery system, achieving more than double (40% - 50%) conversion efficiency compared with incineration’s only option, the Rankine Cycle with only 18% - 22% conversion efficiency. VITRIFIED SLAG, being inert and non-leaching, can be safely used in the construction industry as aggregate or cast into molds to form solid building products such as tiles, blocks etc. The most advantageous attribute of PGM is its minimal (virtually nil) environmental impact.
