There are many requirements needed for a microencapsulation of volatile oils such as essential oils which BotanoCap has been developing. These requirements may be met in a good part by our technology which is essentially room-temperature formation of microcapsules by complexation processes with GRAS reagents that form films around essential oil droplets or a solid core with absorbed essential oils. This same approach can be applied to flavors, fragrances, vitamins and other temperature sensitive ingredients.
