Call for Proposals with Enel


A call for proposals is being launched in the framework of the Global Enterprise R&D Collaboration Agreement between the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) of the Ministry of Economy and Enel. The agreement aims to encourage cooperation between Israeli companies and Enel in the areas of research and development.

Enel is a multi-national power company and a leading integrated player in the world’s power and gas markets, with a particular focus on Europe and Latin America. The Group operates in 32 countries across 4 continents, generating power from over 95 GW of net installed capacity and distributing electricity and gas through a network spanning around 1.9 million km. In Europe, Enel is the number one power company in terms of reported EBITDA and, with its 61 million end users worldwide, it has the largest customer base among its European peers

 As a multinational which have a strong corporate culture of supporting R&D, this offer is directed to companies that develop technologies and products in the following fields:

·          Smart Home

·          Electric mobility

·          Energy Efficiency

·          Forecasting algorithms for Renewable and Conventional Energy Systems

·          Innovative generation technologies for renewable energies

The proposals will be evaluated, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist and Enel. Companies, whose proposals are found suitable, will be invited to submit requests for support within the Chief Scientist's Framework for R&D Cooperation with Multinational Companies . Approved applications will receive the following assistance:


·         A Chief Scientist Grant of up to 50% of the project's approved budget;

·         Additional assistance from Enel of the same budget amount in-kind, to be defined case by case.
