Does your company manage a best practice energy project? Would you like to tell the world about it – and get media attention and a special award from the European Commission at a ceremony in Brussels?
If so, we encourage you to enter a chance to win a Sustainable Energy Europe Award now!
There are still two weeks to apply – and it’s easy.
Launched by the European Commission in 2005, the awards highlight the most outstanding and innovative projects in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy, including clean transport. The campaign is managed by the EACI on behalf of DG Energy.
Why take part? The awards let energy leaders show their commitment towards a cleaner environment, inspire others and get recognised at the EU level. It also gives your hard work the visibility it deserves.
But don’t just take our word for it – here’s how some of last year’s winners feel about the awards.
• Strawberry Tree: Winner ‘CONSUMING’ Category
"This was remarkable year for us, and the EU Award helped us a lot. We appeared on the BBC as well as on China National Television. We worked a lot on promoting sustainable energy in Serbia and its region. There are three Strawberry Trees now (In Obrenovac, Belgrade and Novi Sad), and we are expecting our 100,000th user by the end of this year. We are really happy about that, because for most of these people Strawberry Tree was their first practical contact with renewable energy. And most of them are young. An even better period is ahead. We received orders for 20 new Strawberry Trees in Serbia for the spring of 2012. The mayor of Belgrade ordered 10 Trees to be installed all over the city." • Cycling City Councillors: Winner ‘TRAVELLING’ Category
“Application for the awards is easy, impact is high! With our Cycling City Councillors campaign being selected as winner in the travelling category, we immediately had more wind in our sails: Funding from the national agency was prolonged for another two years and we managed to double the campaign's results in 2011: almost four million kilometres cycled by a total of 20,000 participants!”
The deadline for applications is 29th February 2012. Please contact Liron Eldar (firstname.lastname@example.org) to apply.
