Overview

ATIR Engineering Software Development Ltd. was founded in 1983
with the aim of developing structural analysis and design
software for use on personal computers. ATIR's staff of software
and structural engineers, aided by a team of academic experts,
have been dedicated to the task of creating top quality programs
for the construction industry.
ATIR set its goal to produce a structural analysis program that
would be sophisticated and comprehensive and at the same time
easy to use for the average engineer. The very first version of
STRAP (STRuctural Analysis Programs), released in 1984, already
featured an interactive user interface, unlike the batch
processing method used by other programs available at that time.
ATIR introduced a true graphical interface in version 6.0 of
STRAP, as early as 1989, long before Windows based programs
became popular. STRAP incorporates the feedback from many
hundreds of satisfied users worldwide.

ATIR's programs are used by large prestigious firms and by public
and government concerns as well as small consulting offices
throughout the world. STRAP has been used for the design of very
large projects like the Queen Elisabeth II bridge in the UK, the
second Tagus crossing in Portugal and the "New Hong Kong Bridge".

STRAP (Structural engineering software for the structural, civil
and bridge engineer) is a Windows 95/98/NT based suite of finite
element static and dynamic analysis programs for buildings,
bridges and other structures. It also includes programs for the
design of rolled and light-gauge steel and concrete in accordance
with U.S., Canadian and other international codes. Current
Version 8.0 is our 6th release for the Windows platform.

STRAP is one of the most comprehensive and versatile structural
analysis and design software systems available on the market
today. It's also the easiest to use, due to its superb graphic
user interface (GUI) and advanced context-sensitive help system.
It offers the engineer a powerful but affordable tool for
analysis and design of a wide range of skeletal and continuum
structures such as buildings, bridges, shells, towers and more.

BEAMD (reinforced concrete beam design, detailing and drafting)
is the complete and totally integrated solution for RC beam
design, detailing, drafting and scheduling. Transform a tedious
and error-prone task into a fast, efficient and enjoyable
interactive design experience. Use it on its own, use it with
STRAP, use it with a CAD system. The choice is yours. Whichever
way you choose, you will achieve economic and practical designs -
neatly drawn and accurately scheduled - in minutes.

BEAMD's versatility extends worldwide. Its unique range of
detailing and scheduling options means you can work according to
the local standards in just about any major country.

BEAMD is the ideal partner to STRAP. A model analyzed and
designed by STRAP may be interactively detailed using BEAMD. This
close integration also permits the design of the beams according
to earthquake code requirements.
