ZAMIR RECOGNITION SYSTEMS LTD. is an industry leader in License

InSignia, a license plate recognition system that allows the
automatic identification, in real-time, of a vehicle by means of
its license plate.
InSignia is a fully integrated License Plate Recognition (LPR)
system, capable of identifying an approaching vehicle in real
time and responding accordingly. InSignia's system includes
proprietary Imaging and Processing Units, the LPRware engine and
management software applications.
License Plate Recognition, also referred to as Automatic Number
Plate Recognition, is the process by which a vehicle is
automatically identified by means of its license plate. InSignia
uses advanced electro- optical imaging technology and character
recognition to identify the license plate of an approaching
vehicle.
The Imaging Unit houses a proprietary imaging sensor, that
functions under diverse light and weather conditions. The image
is captured and processed by the LPRware engine, providing the
alphanumeric characters of the license plate.
InSignia Applications
LPR is advantageous over other forms of vehicle identification in
that it can identify all vehicles, quickly
and efficiently at a minimum cost.
* InSignia Access Control - InSignia access control software
application regulates entry to a secured parking facility. As a
vehicle approaches the facility, it is automatically recognized,
granting access to authorized vehicles.
* InSignia Security Control - InSignia screens each vehicle
against a configurable database, triggering automatic responses
such as an audible alarm upon recognizing an alert status.
* InSignia Revenue Control - InSignia minimizes lost income as a
result of fraud and theft at commercial parking facilities. Upon
entry and exit, each vehicle is registered, calculating their
exact length of stay. InSignia can also be used to produce
reports detailing the vehicles currently within the facility.
