OMAT started in 1991 as a project within Patir tecnological
incubator connected to the Jerusalem College of Technology. In
1993, OMAT was established as an independent company and left the
incubator and now occupies its own offices in Jerusalem.
OMAT's products are a series of Adaptive Control systems for CNC
machine optimization as well as Productivity Management systems
for metal machining factories. Users are found in the aerospace,
automotive, heavy equipment and tool & die industries as well as
in machining subcontract facilities.
OMAT's Adaptive Control systems increase productivity and reduce
machining cost by optimizing machining rates and preventing tool
breakage. In addition, OMAT's Productivity Management system
enables clusters of machines to be networked and assists
shopfloor managers to effectively monitor and control the
productivity of their machining operations.
