solar collectors provide electricity, water/space heating and
cooling as well as steam generation for the industrial,
commercial and residential markets.
Founded in 1992, SOLEL SOLAR SYSTEMS headquarters are in Beit
Shemesh with a R&D facility in Jerusalem. SOLEL 's technology is
behind the nine commercially successful solar power plants in
Southern California. These plants supply over 354 MW of
electricity annually to half a million residents and displace the
need for 2 million barrels of oil a year. SOLEL operates through
distributors around the world.
SOLEL established its reputation with large solar thermal power
plants in the order of 50-100 MW which supply electricity with
temperatures reaching 400øC ( 752øF). It was a pioneer in the
field.
The next stage in SOLEL's strategy was to leverage its
engineering expertise and expand its thermal solar energy
applications to the huge medium sized commercial and industrial
markets. For these markets SOLEL offers distributed solar thermal
power generation solutions and a range of collector products.
