established by Kibbutz Beit Hashita to provide innovative answers
for the specific needs of the Israeli farmer. Since 1937, BHC has
produced a line of Agricultural Implements that has established
its niche in the local and world markets.
In BHC plants, located on Kibbutz Beit Hashita in the Jezreel
Valley, a full range of cultivation and tillage equipment are
designed and manufactured for the difficult farming conditions
found in Israel. Meeting the requirements of the southern Negev
desert and the volcanic soils of the Golan, these implements can
be easily adapted to farming needs around the world.
In recent years, BHC has taken the know-how and experience gained
from its pioneering efforts in Israeli agriculture, and began
establishing international Agricultural Development Projects.
These projects enable transition from tradition agriculture,
found in many developing areas of the world, to modern
agriculture that integrates advanced technology, modern growing
methods and sound economics.
BHC is continuously testing New Products and crops on the Kibbutz
fields, during all stages of the growing process. Some crops are
specifically grown according to growing methods used in other
countries, in order to develop equipment suitable to their
individual local needs. In return, the factory is constantly
providing the Kibbutz's agricultural division with the most
advanced technology available.
Combining the Kibbutz agriculture and industry into an integrated
working unit has provided Kibbutz Beit Hashita an added
advantage, so necessary when competing on the world market.
