and manufacturing solid rocket motors and weapon systems since
1964, originally for use by Israel Defense Forces (IDF). As a
highly integrated developer and manufacturer, RSD is also
actively engaged in the development and manufacture of metal and
composite material products for aerospace, ordnance, and civil
applications; pyrotechnic systems and components; illuminating
and IR decoy flares; passive ECM; composite armor and aircraft
components.
RSD is deeply involved in both Israel's space program and the
ARROW anti-missile program. The propulsion systems and the
pyrotechnics for these programs are developed and produced by
IMI. The success to date of Israel's OFEK satellite launches and
the many ARROW test firings are an indication of the high
reliability of RSD products.
RSD has the quality assurance systems, procedures and facilities
necessary to conduct exhaustive qualification testing programs.
RSD Quality Assurance System, certified to the International
Quality Standard ISO-9001, is also qualified to DOD requirements
in accordance with MIL-Q-9858A, and to equivalent NATO
specifications.
Reliability and cost effectiveness of RSD developed products have
been repeatedly proven in military and civil applications. The
experience and quality of RSD employees ensures that delivery
schedules and quality are maintained throughout any contract
