an independent offshoot of Aran Electronics (1969) Ltd., a firm
that has been very active in the local market for many years in
the fields of professional video, broadcast and security
equipment.
VIDISCO produces a wide range of very unique and highly reliable
products encompassing both CCD based and Amorphous Silicon Flat
Panel Portable X-Ray Inspection Systems. These systems are used
in over 60 countries around the world for an almost endless scope
of duties including bomb detection and disposal, as a tool for
VIP protection, searches for drug/contraband smuggling, customs,
forensics, and many different applications in NDT
(Non-Destructive Testing). The systems are truly portable; fully
battery operated, and are suited for both on site use and lab
use. The unique ONE APPROACH philosophy behind the VIDISCO DR
systems enables SAFETY FIRST for the operator, who already needs
to operate in hazardous environments and under pressure for time.
The system setup is fast, there is only one approach required
downrange and results are immediate.
All VIDISCO X-Ray Inspection Systems are controlled from a safe
distance and provide real time images and include
state-of-the-art enhancing and zoom technology, complete
database and management capabilities and a wide range of
accessories. The company offers a wireless option and the
systems are also robot ready - meaning they integrate into the
robots' system (not using it as a "mule" only) and thus the
communication range is increased. VIDISCO works with most of the
major EOD/IED robot producers around the world. All VIDISCO
systems fit into one ruggedized carrying case on wheels
(including the pulsed X-Ray source) for easy transportation. All
the Vidisco panels (CCD and Flat a-Si) are fully interchangeable
and operate on the proprietary FlatfoX software.
The company has recently upgraded its CCD based foXrayII system,
and has launched its sister line - the foXrayIIe. This new line
offers the first 10 bit CCD imager in the world. VIDISCO produces
the foXrayIIe also in a backpack version - the Trekker. This
miniature PC Based X-Ray Inspection System fits entirely into the
only ruggedized lightweight backpack available today and includes
everything needed for commando, special forces or simply anyone
looking for a super small complete system package that can easily
be carried on the back or even shoulder for unique operation
requirements. The company also offer a super sized 22" imager
that enables inspection of larger items in just one shot, without
the need to replace the imager. This increases operator safety.
Further to its line of portable CCD based X-Ray Inspection
equipment, VIDISCO manufactures the only truly Portable Amorphous
Silicon (a-Si ) Flat Panel X-Ray Inspection Systems in the world
used both in the Security and NDT/NDE fields. The Flat foX-17 and
super thin foX-Rayzor unique equipment packages can work with any
X-Ray source and offer for the first time a portable solution for
a-Si imaging to the security, aerospace,
petrochemical, forging/casting and electronics industries. The
a-Si flat panels offer an excellent resolution, high penetration
and 14 bit dynamic range (16384 grey levels) combined with images
upon request available on the laptop screen for immediate
analysis. The Flat panels also enable Organic material detection
(Dual Energy) that is available in the portable systems only in
VIDISCO.
