Overview

GAMIDA CELL LTD. is developing a pipeline of cell therapeutics to
fill the unmet clinical need for products with an ample supply of
stem cells, to effectively treat debilitating and often fatal
illnesses such as cancer, cardiac disease and diabetes.

One of the great challenges in developing therapeutic products
based on stem cells is to provide a large enough number of cells
to deliver a therapeutic dose. This is especially difficult since
the yield of stem cells from any adult tissue is very small.
GAMIDA CELL has succeeded in developing several proprietary
technologies all based on small molecules that expand stem cells
in culture with limited differentiation and result in products
that provide therapeutic doses of effective stem/progenitor
cells.

GAMIDA CELL is the only company to demonstrate, in the laboratory
and the clinic, expansion of stem cells in culture with limited
loss due to differentiation. GAMIDA CELL's technologies are
simple, reversible, do not involve genetic interference, and are
easily scalable. They are additionally cost effective and
efficient for commercial production.

GAMIDA CELL's flagship product StemEx is poised to answer a dire
unmet clinical need in the field of bone marrow transplantation,
and has blockbuster potential in supplying cell grafts to
patients without a matched, related stem cell donor. Currently,
StemEx is being developed for the treatment of hematological
malignancies such as leukemia and lymphoma.

StemEx is based on an expanded population of cord blood stem
cells. Cord blood provides a readily available "off the shelf"
source of stem cells and requires reduced tissue matching. Both
the increasing standardization and the growing pool of banked
cord blood units also make this a very good and effective source
of cells.

GAMIDA CELL is also developing a stem cell product for the
treatment of cardiac disease. All other products in the R&D
pipeline are at the pre-clinical stage of development.
