With the acquisition in recent years of companies in Italy,
Germany, the US, Mexico, France, Belgium, South Africa, the UK
and Australia, and the formation of the Treofan Group, DOR
CHEMICALS now has 11 production facilities in eight countries
around the globe, and has become one of Israel's fastest growing
companies.
DOR CHEMICALS produces a wide range of petrochemical materials
which serve as raw materials for the pharmaceutical, plastics,
wood, drugs and food industries. Moreover, DOR CHEMICALS products
are used in agriculture for the sterilization of soil and poultry
coops, and in the preparation of fuel for petroleum refinery in
Haifa, to the chemical terminal in the Kishon Harbor and to
neighboring plants.
This network aids the transportation of raw materials to various
processes, and some of our products are marketed in this way as
well. Likewise, imports and exports from the plant are
transferred directly to ships at the chemical terminal. DOR
CHEMICALS operates a fleet of tank trucks in order to transport
its products to the customers, and in addition, some of the
products are sold in barrels and/or smaller containers.
DOR CHEMICALS is now on a vigorous drive to realize the synergies
in its manufacturing, administrative and marketing activities.
The current major implementations of this strategy are product
harmonization and increase of efficiency and optimization. This
strategy is exemplified by the merging of three European
companies and one Israeli company into a single global group, the
Treofan Group, in itself managed by an international executive
team.
DOR CHEMICALS is determined to further enhance inherent
strengths. This is a dynamic process, in which synergies and
manufacturing optimization are identified and targeted for
investment. Mergers and acquisitions are an integral part of this
process.
The group is continuously seeking opportunities to strengthen its
presence in specialty products that have a higher added value. An
