The stable inorganic coating created by ACKTAR's advanced vacuum
fabrication technology has a highly structured micro-rough
surface. By varying process parameters, ACKTAR controls the
coating's surface roughness, structure, conductivity and
chemical content thus maximizing its usefulness in numerous
industrial applications.
Unique properties include: uniquely large specific surface area
combined with very small coating thickness - 1000 times the
substrate surface in a coating only microns thick, greatly
improved control of surface morphology, absorbs both light and
thermal radiation, selective absorptance, high thermal stability
, extremely low out-gassing, conductive and non - conductive
-both possible, excellent radiation resistance and adhesion.
