independent R&D firms. The main activities of BGN are licensing
of know-how at different stages of development, management of
BGU's intellectual property, contract research and services.
BGN's mission is
* To facilitate the development and transfer of new technology
from BGU to the marketplace.
* To generate industry-related Research and Development funds.
* To support applied research and motivate new inventions at BGU.
BGN serves as the link between industry and academic research.
BGN helps the university and its faculty "translate" their
inventions and academic achievements into commercially valuable
products by facilitating technology transfer to existing
companies or by creating new start-ups around these inventions.
BGN files patent applications on behalf of BGU in Israel and
worldwide, and manages the university's patent and Intellectual
Property portfolio.
