Internet has established the Israeli office in 1996. Growing
significantly year on year, CISCO is now represented all over the
country through partner and distributor organizations. The
Israeli team offers support in Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing and
Promotions. By breaking the team into these segments, it allows
CISCO to focus on the unique requirements of each, so that the
company can ensure that it is providing its individual customers
with products and services that meet their needs.
In April 1997 CISCO SYSTEMS has opened a development center in
Israel after its acquisition of privately-held CLASS Data Systems
Ltd. to satisfy the growing potential in the global marketplace
for its networking solutions aimed at large corporations, service
providers and small to medium sized businesses. CLASS Data's
software solutions enable policy-based quality of service in
Internet Protocol (IP) networks.
CISCO has chosen Israel as the ideal location for this center in
recognition of the booming local engineering talent and
experience in networking, hardware and software product
development. The rapid growth of the chip design industry in
Israel in the last few years has proven the commitment of this
country to be a leader rather than a follower in the IT market.
