LTD.) develops and manufactures intraoperative magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI) image guidance systems designed to improve
neurosurgical interventions with a special focus on minimally
invasive procedures.
With the PoleStar N-10, MEDTRONIC NAVIGATION ISRAEL has created
the world's first and only intraoperative MR Imaging system that
can be used in a standard operating room.
* Compact and open, PoleStar N-10 is the first intraoperative MR
Imaging system designed for installation in a conventional
Operating Room. The magnetic field is confined to the area
between the magnet poles and its immediate proximity.
* The entire unit can be wheeled to the patient table and resides
underneath the table when not in use. At the push of a button the
system is elevated to scanning position.
* Optimized for performing intracranial operations, the gap
between the magnet poles accommodates all head positions for
unrestricted patient access during surgery.
* Using an infrared remote control device, neurosurgeons are able
to obtain high-quality 3-D images and feedback at any point
during the procedure.
