monitor for detection of respiratory cessation (apnea) in
infants. BabySense was introduced to the market in 1993. Since
then, HISENSE LTD. respiratory movement monitors have benefited
over 400,000 babies and parents, saving infants' lives throughout
the world.
Babysense is a home breathing monitor intended for every baby, as
a safety means to help fight the S.I.D.S.- Sudden Infant Death
Syndrome (Crib death). Babysense continuously checks the baby's
breathing rate and movement, operating an acoustic alarm in the
event of breathing cessation. Babysense consists of a
battery-operated control unit connected to two sensors located
under the baby's mattress: no direct contact with the baby and no
restriction of its movements.
