MAINSOFT Corporation, the software porting company, enables
businesses to rapidly maximize the return on their Windows
application development investment by extending the productivity
of Microsoft Visual Studio to multiple platforms.
MAINSOFT's corporate mission is to develop and market products
that leverage MAINSOFT's cross-platform technologies, expertise,
and experience. The fact that the Windows API has become the
software development environment of choice in the industry, while
there is still a brisk demand for UNIX applications; and that
many ISVs and large corporation have a requirement for identical

After an extensive research and development phase, MAINSOFT
launched the first commercial version of MainWin in 1994. MainWin
2 followed in 1997 and MainWin 3 in 1998. MainWin provides
customers a single source-code solution for developing both
Windows and native UNIX applications.
Microsoft's choice of MainWin in 1997 to create the UNIX version
of Internet Explorer 4 was instrumental in establishing Mainsoft
as the major player in single-source-code solutions for Windows
and UNIX. Since then, MAINSOFT sales have experienced
substantial and steady growth.
