NOVETIDE was established as a business unit within the corporate
R&D center of Israel Chemicals (ICL), and spun out of ICL in
1999.
NOVETIDE LTD. has directed its efforts towards the introduction
of state of the art and cost-effective peptide technologies and
new product lines to the pharmaceutical industry.
NOVETIDE's activities are closely tied to the life cycle of drug
development projects being pursued by its customers. NOVETIDE
offers a long-term commitment and full confidentiality to its
customer, from the early stages of the pharmaceutical project to
advanced clinical development. NOVETIDE's resources, experience
and infrastructure are a one-stop source for preclinical to
commercial quantities of peptide based compounds.
NOVETIDE offers a wide spectrum of generic capabilities including
HTS (synthesis of 96 different peptides within several days),
custom-designed peptide syntheses up to hundred gram scale,
purification, preparation of libraries, production-scale
preparation of building units and peptide-based products under
cGMP conditions.
NOVETIDE is located within the IMI complex, where sophisticated
organic chemistry is practiced routinely, and benefits from the
close proximity of the services available at IMI, thus enabling
these technologies to become powerful tools for the development
of overall synthetic pathways to peptide and peptidomimetic
compounds.
NOVETIDE is based on several unique patentable technologies
introduced into the market and a portfolio of know -how for the
preparation, purification and characterization of peptides which
enables small and large scale production of various peptide based
products.
NOVETIDE LTD., a fully owned subsidiary of IMI(TAMI) Institute
for Research and Development Ltd. started operations on 1/1/2000.
NOVETIDE takes over the peptide operations of IMI and offers
custom peptides and peptidomimetics manufacturing and new
technologies for the preparation of improved peptide based
products.
The Israel based multi-national pharmaceutical company TEVA
Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. has acquired a holding of NOVETIDE
shares equal to that of IMI.
