Red Bend's vCurrent technology is based on a patent-pending
algorithm that performs an in-depth analysis of the software's
underlying structure to extract a delta file of only the code
changes between two software versions. Because vCurrent's delta
files are stripped of everything except the essential bits of
changed code, they are extremely small, especially when compared
to products built on conventional algorithms. That's because
conventional algorithms lack a deep understanding of the
software's structure and, as a result, typically generate much
larger files.
vCurrent technology is independent of the language used to create
the software and the medium used to transport it. Therefore, it
easily accommodates any processor or operating system. vCurrent
technology's modular design also allows it to be used on devices
with varying resources, from mainframes to cell phones.
Red Bend's vCurrent technology dramatically reduces the size of
the software update, overcoming severe limitations of size and
helps limit usage of expensive bandwidth. vCurrent compares two
software versions using a patent-pending algorithm that performs
an in-depth analysis of the software's underlying structure. This
algorithm extracts a delta-update file, which includes only the
essential changes between the versions. Using this technology,
Red Bend's products create extremely small updates. By reducing
the overall size of the update package by up to 97% vCurrent
