several important and unconventional areas of organic synthesis
including Chiral and Enzyme chemistry, Complex Multistep

Amongst its partners and customers are some of the leading
pharmaceutical companies in Europe, USA and Japan. FineTech's
intermediates are used by these companies for several
developmental drugs, currently on various stages of clinical
trials. FineTech operates in a 10,000 sq. feet facility, equipped
with state of the art laboratory, production and quality control
equipment. FineTech became a major producer of pharmaceutical
grade Melatonin (registered trade mark MelaFine - Melatonin), and
supplies it to a US pharmaceutical company, which operates under
strict cGMP conditions. In addition, it also maintains an R&D
laboratory at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and
has access to the most sophisticated equipment at that
University.
FineTech operates as an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of
Pharmaceutical Resources, Inc. (PRI) and provides immediate
chemical synthesis capabilities and strategic opportunities to
PRI and other customers.
PRI, a holding company, develops, manufactures and distributes
generic pharmaceutical products through its wholly owned
subsidiary, Par Pharmaceutical.
