Electromagnetic Flow Control (EFC) Technology. Q-CORE is now
privately held and has undergone a management change to better
establish its market presence.
Q-CORE's mission is to provide proprietary patented
electromagnetic solutions utilizing sophisticated software
algorithms for existing and new powered machines and components.
Management has set out to achieve this mission by positioning the
Company as a licensing technology platform for EFC-based devices.
Management has identified several potential industries in which
its technology has significant competitive advantages to existing
solutions, including medical devices, automotive, agricultural,
and industrial. In order to maximize immediate potential the
Company has targeted the medical device market as its initial
focus. Q-CORE's patented EFC technology has focused on two main
product lines: motor-less pumps and highly accurate and dynamic
electromagnetic valves.
The Company's applications implement electromagnetic technology
along with sophisticated algorithms to reach high accuracy and
performance levels of its devices while achieving cost savings in
the range of 30%-60% over existing solutions.
The principal behind the technology enables pumps to be
manufactured without electrical motors or any other moving parts
that are often subject to failure. Using electromagnets driven
by algorithms that set in motion an electromagnetic membrane, or
other relevent geometry, the pump can perform any desired linear
flow profile and match or better top of class performance
requirements. In addition, the Q-CORE technology has
significant miniaturization potential and can also be adapted to
a multi channel function with significant advantages in size,
performance and cost, over existing solutions.
This patented technology answers the critical need for a low
cost, energy efficient, reliable and flexible pump that is robust
enough for many sectors of the pump market.
Q-CORE's second product focus, the Electromagnetic Valve,
operates on a similar concept yet offers features not available
in existing solutions. The valve technology is based on a
geometric shape influenced by electromagnets which are driven by
the Company's proprietary algorithms to achieve high accuracy of
flow control, and more importantly better than 1% accuracy in
flow measurement. The valve technology, although developed
independently of the pump, can be a standalone disposable
feature, or integrated into the pump mechanism, offering unique
solutions to unsolved challenges in the various industries.
