next generation color technologies that are poised to forever
transform the way we experience color when viewing TV broadcasts
and other digital media (such as DVD and digital photography).
The company's groundbreaking achievements in developing wide
gamut, high brightness efficiency color technologies represent a
new viewing paradigm for the ever developing home entertainment
and mobile color display arenas where the maximization of the
color gamut is an essential imperative.
Genoa significantly raises the standard for color performance
expectations by dramatically expanding the gamut of visible color
beyond the limits of standard RGB devices. Not only is the gamut
much larger (~60%), but also colors are brighter, richer and more
natural. This means that the benefits are seen not only at the
edge of the gamut, such as the crystalline turquoise of tropical
waters and the unique color of true gold, but also in central
areas of the gamut such as skin tones which are smoother and more
natural.
Genoa's multi-primary conversion ASICs easily integrate into a
wide array of color displays across multiple applications,
including rear and front projection and LCD TV. Fully compliant
with accepted industry standards, the Genoa-enabled display is
compatible with all external devices, such as VCRs and DVDs. The
Company, which maintains its R&D facility in Israel, partners
with leading industry players to integrate its technologies into
end user products through the supply of proprietary chips
implementing the company's technology. Genoa has a partnership
agreement with Philips in the field of rear projection
television. Future generations of the company's technology and
chip family will be developed for mobile displays such as those
in cell phones and digital cameras.
