NANOMATERIALS has developed a proprietary nanotechnology based
on unique inorganic nanostructures. These nanoparticles, nested
spheres and tubes, can be used in a broad range of commercial and
industrial products in the lubricant, microelectronics,
semiconductor, aerospace, and metal working markets.
The Company's mission is to become a leading nanotechnology
company by developing valuable commercial applications based on
its proprietary inorganic nanostructures. The unique
nanoparticles, nested spheres and tubes, can be used in a broad
range of products including lubricants, specialty coatings, thin
films, powder metallurgy parts and polymer composites.
NanoLub, the company's initial product, is the world's first
commercial solid lubricant consisting of spherical inorganic
nanoparticles. NanoLub reduces friction and wear significantly
better than conventional lubricants especially at high loads,
prolongs device service life, saves energy, and lowers
maintenance costs and downtimes. It can be used in products
ranging from power tools and machines to airplanes and
satellites. NanoLub is effective as an additive for enhancing the
performance of oils and greases, a dry powder, a thin film
coating, and for impregnating self-lubricating parts.
Following NanoLub the company plans to commercialize its
technology for nanoprobes for microelectronic components imaging,
high resolution flat panel displays, tunable semiconductors and
molecular-sized transistors. Other anticipated applications
include enhanced composite materials, special inks, catalysts,
energy storage, and other products.
