Magnesium Wrought Products Division of AMTS is built on the basis
of PALBAM Metal Works' R&D Division.
AMTS WPD (Wrought Products Division) is a leading developer and
provider of special technologies that enable manufacturing of
Magnesium Wrought Alloys end-user products.
The leading technologies are: Deep Drawing, Hot Forging, Cold
Rolling, Bending, Welding, Laser Cutting and Machining. Most of
our clients are from the defense and aircraft industries.
PALBAM is the leader for decades in the stainless steel equipment
manufacturing industry in Israel. The equipment fabricated by
PALBAM is widely used in modern institutional kitchens and
advanced food service operations.
PALBAM specializes in:
* Dishwashing Machines, Dishroom Systems
* Self-Service Units, Cafeteria Counters, Holding Cabinets.
* Deep-Drawn "Gastronorm " Utensils and Field Food Containers
PALBAM designs and produces subcontracted and custom - made
equipment meeting the highest standards required by research
institutes and defence industries. PALBAM provides high quality

pressing, spinning, sawing, cutting, machining, welding, surface
treating. - Laser cutting of metals, alloys and advanced
materials. - Deep drawing of stainless steel, aluminum, titanium,
etc. - Computerized automatic welding of special alloys.
The PALBAM Magnesium Division, as a member of the Israeli
Consortium for the Development of Magnesium, has developed
special technologies that enable the manufacturing of Magnesium
Wrought Alloy end user products.
TECHNOLOGIES
1. Deep drawing (of magnesium sheets) 1000-ton press capability.
2. Magnesium Hot Forging Closed die processing.
3. Cold Rolling of Magnesium sheets Small diameter capabilities.
4. Magnesium Bending: Sheets, Profiles & Pipes.
5. Laser cutting of Magnesium Sheets.
6. Machining of Magnesium parts 1 micron accuracy capability.
7. Computerized and Manual Arc Welding (GTAW) (inc. x-ray
inspection and vacuum leak-check). Peripheral + longitudinal
welding performed by programmed alternate variable polarity with
additional reverse current method.
8. NDT: X-ray inspection, x-y-z measuring machines, vacuum leak
detectors.
