wireless networks. Wireless access points and endpoint devices
have become one of largest concerns of both operators and
corporate IT departments as a source for potential data leakage
and compromising of corporate resources. At the same time
increased mobility has increased pressure on both service
providers and IT departments for securing, monitoring and
managing their wireless networks.
Code Red's software-only solutions are hardware independent, and
preserve standards based interoperability. The underlying
architecture is modular and flexible in order to accommodate
existing and emerging wireless standards The company has also
implemented its AirMarshal security and management solution for
wireless networks in business and service provider environments.
The server based product monitors all wireless
access points and client devices and informs administrators
regarding potential security and operational problems, while
offering remote configuration for blocking potential intruders
and changing security settings. One of the major advantages of
this solution is backwards and forwards support for both legacy
and future models of wireless equipment from multiple vendors.
The company has also commenced initial sales of its AirStop
Endpoint Security Software. This solution automatically controls
communications ports and storage devices on laptops protecting
against bridging attacks and unauthorized information storage.
The AirStop Server is used to monitor all adapters in the
corporate network and execute changes of configuration as
necessary.
According to the company's roadmap, the server based product will
aslo be sold in conjunction with Code Red's AirBlock client
software for security and management of client-side wireless
devices.
