technology for alphanumeric data entry in mobile environment. The
keyboard, known as JetKeys keypad, solves the well known and
recognized problem of text entry to cellular phones and other
compact hand held devices. JetKeys keypad lets the user enter
each letter in a single operation on the standard phone 12 key
numeric keypad. JetKeys keypad extends the operation of each
key, in the 12 key matrix, so that it is sensitive to a slight
pressure in either of the four directions: (up, down, left and
right). The layout of the letters on the keypad is the same as in
current keypads and the position of the letters on the key face
indicates the direction of press.
