The company is active in three business units
1. ORBIT ACS (Audio Communication Systems)
Develops and markets Airborne and Marine audio communication
systems and monitoring systems (control and warning) for both
military and civilian aviation and Maritime. ACS's systems
operate according to stringent military and aviation standards
and are under special licensing for civilian aviation. ACS is
certified for the development, manufacture and testing of
civilian aviation products by the U.S. Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) and by the Israel Civil Aviation
Administration (CAAI).
2. ORBIT MARINE is an experienced, dedicated designer and
manufacturer of Marine Stabilized Satellite Systems in the fields
of communication and entertainment.
ORBIT MARINE develops and manufactures two types of systems:
* Tx/Rx (two-way) Satellite Communication systems in the C &
Ku-Bands with antenna sizes ranging from 1.15m to 2.8m in,
designed for high performance satellite tracking used for
Internet, data, video conferencing and Fax.
* TVRO Satellite communication systems in the C & Ku-Bands with
antenna sizes ranging from 80cm to 2.8m in C & Ku-Bands. The
systems are a cost effective solution designed for Satellite TVRO
Marine Entertainment Systems.
The systems utilize state-of-the-art technology for private,
commercial and military applications, to be used on cargo &
cruise ships, oilrigs, yachts, and other marine vessels.
3. ORBIT TRACKING is a designer and manufacturer of tracking
systems, covering a wide range of applications for commercial and
military customers.
ORBIT is the manufacturer of the major subsystems (pedestals,
controllers, servo amplifiers, antennas and RF equipment) as well
as a systems-house, capable of meeting customer's special
requirements. As such, ORBIT can effectively supply either
directly to end-users or to system houses.
ORBIT has been active in the field of the development and
manufacture of antenna positioning and tracking systems for more
than forty years. During this time, the company has gained an
excellent reputation as a manufacturer of reliable products, and
as a company which does not compromise on quality.
ORBIT has designed, developed and manufactured tracking systems
for a wide range of applications, such as:
* Ground-based, ground-mobile, airborne and shipboard systems
* Fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft tracking
* Geostationary and orbiting satellite tracking
* Various tracking methods including: slaved position track,
step-track, orbit-track, GPS-track, auto-track and inertial
stabilization
* Auto-track methods employing both conical-scan and
single-channel-monopulse error modulation
* Telemetry, communication or video transmission
* Antennas or optical loads
In addition Orbit holds 61% in FR, NASDAQ traded, U.S. based
subsidiary engaged in the field of systems and products for
measuring and testing microwaves of wireless equipment including:
radars, cellular telephones, communications satellites, radio
broadcasts, global positioning satellite systems (GPS), guidance
