Maxillofacial Rehabilitation Unit at Sheba Medical Center,
Israel.
EPISAFE's first product -EpiGuard- is a protective device for the
oral cavity of epileptic patients, designed to prevent agonizing
and destructive damage to tongue and cheeks during seizures.
EpiGuard addresses over 6 million patients with epilepsy who have
generalized seizures preceded by an aura (a feeling that a
seizure is about to occur). EpiGuard prevents agonizing biting of
the tongue and cheeks during an epileptic seizure and helps
reduce the anxiety of the patients and their families.
The company's mission is to develop and market products for the
oral cavity that enhance the safety and quality of life of
patients and their families.
