Main Markets:
Hospitals, clinics, private clinics, HMO's , and nursing homes
End users:
Hospital departments include dermatological, orthopedic, traumatological, urological, and surgical treatments
a wide array of wound treatment. The company's main goal is to
develop an innovative ultrasonic treatment tip, incorporating
proprietary technology, for the chronic wound market segment.
The product uses low frequency ultrasonic energy, based upon
ultrasonic frequency principles. The specific frequency range,
combined with specially developed treatment tip, enables
intensification of an acoustic effect, using minimal energy. As a
result, any side effects and tissue damage are minimized or
prevented.
Effective wound treatment is achieved by indirect contact between
the treated tissue and the treatment tip. This special tip is
designed and fabricated to ensure continuous liquid media wetting
between the end of the tip and the treated wound. The tip and
accessory configuration serve to create a closed, localized
treatment region, enabling wound treatment in various
orientations, locations, forms, and depth. The combined unit
provides a continuous and fresh liquid media (sterile or
pharmaceutical) to the wound working zone, thereby preventing
recurrence of sonophoresis.
In general, low frequency ultrasonic treatment has several
advantages over existing possible techniques, including:
* Minimal side effects,
* Avoidance of antibiotic resistant culture forming,
* Shorter treatment,
* Cost effectiveness regarding consumables and hospitalization
period
* Low system maintenance
* Operable by nurses and trained staff
