Overview

Shalag has been engaged in the production and marketing of
nonwovens since 1984, with a focus on the hygienic and wipes
markets. Due to the limited scope of the local market, emphasis
was placed on export, leading to adoption of the most modern
manufacturing technologies, together with use of fibers of the
finest quality.
At present, Shalag's production site (12,000 sqm), encompassing 3
production lines using carded thermobonded technology, enjoys an
annual capacity of approximately 12,000 tons.
Shalag manufactures a wide range of products, weighing from less
than 10 to more than 100 gsm, composed of more than 40 different
fiber types,
Shalag's philosophy is based on the principle of marketing a
technical solution via a wide range of products rather than
merely a commodity, while closely adhering to customer
requirements.

Shalag has the most updated technological and professional
know-how in the field of carded thermobonded nonwovens. This is
reflected in the company's production capabilities:
a) A wide product range using various fiber blends and calender
embossing patterns.
b) The ability to supply relatively low-weight nonwovens while
maintaining high web uniformity and optimum mechanical
properties.
c) Inline winding and slitting to widths as low as 30mm
