sophisticated design strategies to the world of orthopedics has
led to a number of novel designs of orthopedic implants that
offer the potential to radically simplify and/or improve the
world of fracture treatment.
The company has developed its first product line - the
Anchorshaft IntraMedullary (IM) Nail - from initial design
through to biomechanically tested prototype. It is now advancing
this product toward clinical acceptance, as well as developing
additional contributions to the world of orthopedic biomechanics.
ORTHOMECHANICS has developed an improved technology for this
internal fixation market, which should enable faster and simpler
implants of intramedullary nails into patients saving both costs
and patient side effects as a result.
In addition to patenting this novel intramedullary (IM) nail
design, the Company has designed additional products for various
orthopedics applications, based on the company's biomechanical
expertise. It is aimed that the Company's first product - the IM
product - will be available for usage by 2006, with a second
product reaching the market within a year of this date.
