detection need. The tracability of tissue vitality in the eye
vascular system is the key point of the enabling technology. The
innovation is rapid Hipper Spectral Imaging technology
incorporated with Retinal imaging.
NeD is developing a device designed to measure the quantity of
oxygen in different areas of retina cells to see where there are
problems of oxygen concentrations, which are evidence of a
pending illness, before it has done actual damage to the retina.
NeD plans to use a proprietary Spectral system based on a fast
Liquid Crystal Technology that makes efficient use of light
energy. When combined with NED Oxygen Identification algorithm
the system will monitor deviations from normal metabolic patterns
and discern features that will prove related to the development
of specific eye diseases.
Thus, the system will equip the Eye Care Provider with
indications to the early development of diseases such as Diabetic
Retinopathy, Glaucoma, and Advanced Macular Degeneration (AMD).
