rescue technology to retrieve trapped people from areas which can
not be reached by conventional aerial ladder, conventional
helicopter or a helicopter equipped with a Heli-Basket. The new
high-Rise Rescue and Maintenance Technology based on Vertical
Take-off and Landing (VTOL) Flying Platforms, using for a
different applications.
One of the major objectives of the project is to develop both,
UAV (EAGLET) and piloted (EAGLE), user friendly VTOL Multi
Function Platforms family that could be easily controlled by
simple operator commands and will reduce the cost of High-Rise
Technology in comparison with existing conventional tools.
The EAGLE VTOL Flying Platforms design is based on a ducted
propeller technology. In comparison with conventional helicopters
with exposed rotors the ducted propeller offers the advantages of
compactness, efficiency increasing and safe flight ability in
urban confined spaces. The duct also provides a desirable safety
feature, serving as a guard to prevent the propeller from being
damaged by surrounding objects and also protects people on the
ground from running accidentally into the turning propeller area.
The EAGLET Remotaly Operated Multi Function Aerial Flying
Platform can be scaled up or down to meet specific mission
requirements.
