Overview

AcousticEye is an Israeli based company that researches, patents,
designs and produces NDT products for testing tubular systems.

From aircraft Pitot Static testing, electric power plant
condenser testing to gas station buried pipeline leak detection
and location testing, AcousticEye is dedicated to bringing
forward its cutting edge innovative technology and applying it to
create state of the art NDT equipment that is free from the
limitations other NDT tools inherently have.

AcousticEye produces its patent based NDT(non-destructive
testing) products for testing tubular systems. The pipeI pipe
inspection system is a non-traversing fault location system. It
detects and finds the exact location of faults such as leaks,
tube-wall degradation and full or partial blockages, in a
fraction of the time it takes other NDT equipment to test the
same pipes.

AcousticEye's technology is based on Acoustic Pulse Reflectometry
(APR). In this technique, acoustic signals are injected into the
gas or liquid in the pipe system being tested. These signals
propagate down the system as acoustic waves, in effect probing
the internal structure of the system. Different types of
structural discontinuities create reflections of the acoustic
waves, which can then be measured by a microphone situated at the
same port where the signals were injected. These reflections are
analyzed using advanced algorithms, in order to determine whether
they were created by faults (such as leaks or obstructions) or by
the normal structural components of the system (connector,
valves, plugs, etc.).
