PROJECT SUMMARY
CARDIONOVA is a medical device company focused on the
percutaneous treatment of Atrial Fibrillation.
The CardioNova system uses very cold temperatures to create a
continuous and transmural lesion in the left atrium that will
block the passage of electric signals and thus cure the patient
from Atrial Fibrillation.
CardioNova designed a novel catheter which uses a proprietary
method to create a continuous and transmural lesion encircling
the four pulmonary veins ostia. The lesion will be created with
the use of very cold temperature administered to the left atrium
via the CardioNova catheter.
The novel design of the catheter allows the EPs to perform the
treatment within a very short time period, since only one
application of the ablation element is needed in the treatment.
No special experience will be needed to apply the CardioNova
catheter.
